<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method whereby a high quality print having gold color and/or a silver color can be easily formed, image quality defects are removed from such a print, the feel of metal quality is imparted to the gold color area and/or the silver color area of the print, and a high quality color print including the gold color and/or silver color can be formed. SOLUTION: The image forming device includes a metal color developing device 100G which electrophotographically develops a metal color toner image, formed by using gold color and/or silver color toner, an intermediate transfer body 112 on the surface of which the toner image is formed by the metal color developing device 100G, and a transfer device 110 which transfers the toner image from the intermediate transfer body 112 to a recording medium 128.
