PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stocking excellent in a slipping-down preventive function in spite of having a softly tightening function. SOLUTION: This stocking is characterized by having a frictional area knitted with float knitting in a proper width using polyurethane elastic yarns or rubber yarns for its upper internal circumferential face, and another frictional area formed so as to integrate with the stocking and cover at least the above- mentioned frictional area portion, and made of an elastic fabric extending from the upper edge of the former frictional area portion; wherein the upper internal circumferential face of the thus extended elastic fabric is made of a film made of a material selected from silicon, rubber and polyurethane.
