DOUBLE FEED PREVENTING MECHANISM FOR PAPER FEEDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double feed preventing mechanism for a paper feeder capable of securely preventing the double feed of several paper sheets. SOLUTION: In this double feed preventing mechanism for the paper feeder, a recording paper sheet P is fed to a position between a separation roller 29 and a separation pad 30 from a cassette 22 by a pickup roller 23 supported by a rock arm 28 and moving in the vertical direction. A paper guide 32 is provided in the rock arm 28 for supporting the pickup roller 23. The paper guide 32 is provided with a guide surface 32a forming a required angle between a separation surface 30a of the separation pad 30 when the pickup roller 23 lowers and for guiding the recording paper sheet P fed from the cassette 22 toward the separation surface 30a.
