PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polymer having a structure useful for providing a pigment dispersion capable of realizing stable and good dispersibility and fluidity of the pigment and having excellent light transmission properties without aggregating the pigment and a pigment dispersion composition comprising a pigment dispersing agent composed of the polymer, having excellent dispersibilty, fluidity, etc., of the pigment, a high tinting strength and excellent alkali developing suitability and suitably usable within a wide range such as a coating, a printing ink or a color display board. SOLUTION: This polymer has a guanidine structure at the terminal of the polymer chain and is characterized as preferably comprising an addition polymerization product of a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond. The pigment dispersion composition comprises an organic pigment and the polymer dispersed in an organic solvent. |
