<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening-and-closing controller for a vehicle door, by which the safety of one's own vehicle, an approaching object, and an occupant are secured, by constituting the controller so as to keep the vehicle door locked while the approaching object are approaching or passing by and to unlock the vehicle door after the approaching object has passed away when the getting-in or getting-off movement of the occupant is detected and the approaching object approaching to one's own vehicle is also detected. SOLUTION: The opening-and-closing controller for the vehicle door comprises an approaching object detecting means 14 for detecting the approaching object approaching to one's own vehicle from the rear, a getting-off movement detecting means (12 or 13) for detecting the getting-off movement of the occupant in one's own vehicle, and a door lock-and-unlock means 18 for locking and unlocking the vehicle door, wherein the opening-and-closing controller is also provided with a control means 20 for keeping the vehicle door locked while the approaching object is approaching or passing by and for unlocking the vehicle door after the approaching object has passed away when the getting-off movement detecting means (12 or 13) detects the getting-off movement and the approaching object detecting means 14 also detects the approaching object.</p> |
