PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection apparatus for an organic halogenated substances such as PCB, dioxins or the like in a treatment installation or the environment. SOLUTION: The detection apparatus which detects the concentration of the organic halogenated substances in a gas is provided with a concentrating means 12 which concentrates the organic halogenated substances in an introduced sampling gas 11, a solid-phase extractor 15 in which the concentrated organic halogenated substances are adsorbed by a soilid-phase adsorbent and in which the organic halogenated substances are eluted by an eluate 14 to be introduced separately and a detection means 16 by which the eluted organic halogenated substances or analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.
