PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read a change in the level of a liquid (the amount of the liquid) in a plastic vessel from the outside by installing a liquid level gauge in one mouth of the vessel. SOLUTION: A transparent pipe 2 inscribed with numeric values or the like expressing its capacity is inserted into a cap 1 of the plastic vessel. Further, a light and elongate movable rod 3 with a float attached on its lower part is inserted thereinto and a marker is inscribed on a part thereof. These are vertically erected in one mouth of the plastic vessel. When the liquid (such as kerosene) is poured into the vessel through the other mouth, the movable rod is raised by a floating force. By reading the numeric values or the like indicated by the marker, the level of the liquid (the amount of the liquid) can be known from the outside.
