PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flowmeter capable of instantaneously determining for which company a setting is made and preventable from being erroneously shipped or mounted in a customer building. SOLUTION: A gas meter is equipped with a display part 14, a reset button 15, an electric power supply part 17, a company information memory 25, and a determination/processing part 26. When a battery is mounted in the supply part 17 and power is supplied, or when the reset button 15 is pressed by a worker and a reset signal is received, the determination/processing part 26 reads out the company information stored in the memory 25 and causes the display part 14 to display the read-out company information. Further, in the case of a gas meter equipped with an annunciation lamp in place of the display part 14, when a battery is mounted or when a reset signal is received, a determination/processing part 26 reads out company information stored in a company information memory 25 and causes the annunciation lamp 18 to flash on and off in a prescribed pattern based on the read-out company information.
