PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical method for connecting the exhaust pipes capable of preventing gas leakage from both connected pipes by performing a simple cutting process for one of the exhaust pipe. SOLUTION: The lower peripheral edge of one of the exhaust pipes to be connected with each other is cut in a half-moon form, and a reverse T-shaped incision is formed on the upper peripheral edge thereof. The end edge parts of facing portions in the incision are forcibly bent upward, and the fastening plates are attached to both end edge parts. By fastening those plates using a bolt and a nut, the exhaust pipe is tightly connected and jointed to the other exhaust pipe fitted into the former.
