PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator to recognize that the lateral bodies of forks of a forklift truck are horizontal or inclined by irradiating a laser beam forward through a transmitting part formed in a vertical bracket only when the lateral bodies of the forks are horizontal. SOLUTION: The forklift truck with L-shaped forks 6 consisting of lateral bodies 7 and horizontal bodies 8 has a beam generating means 10 for irradiating a laser beam forward on the parallel lines parallel to the lateral bodies 7 of the forks 6 interlocking with the up/down motion and forward/backward inclination, and the vertical bracket 12 interlocking with the up/down motion of the forks 6 and oscillating forward/backward relative to the forks 6 to be always perpendicular to the forks 6. The vertical bracket 12 has a horizontal transmitting part 13 which is always horizontal for transmitting the laser beam irradiated from a laser pointer 11. When the lateral bodies 7 of the forks 6 are horizontal, the laser beam irradiated from the laser pointer 11 penetrates the transmitting part 13 formed in the vertical bracket 12 to be irradiated forward.
