PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method of thermal stabilization of polycarbonate resin or polyester resin. SOLUTION: By adding 20 to 1,800 ppm of phthalic acid and 2 to 180 ppm of an amine compound to the polycarbonate resin or polyester resin, the lowering of molecular weight of the polycarbonate resin or polyester resin when the resin is subjected to heat-melting can be inhibited, and the thermal stability of the resin can be achieved.
