PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device and an image forming device capable of increasing the total volume of sheets loadable on plural stack trays, and reducing the number of parts. SOLUTION: This sheet processing device has several vertically movable stack trays 18a, 18b, and successively ejects the sheets P ejected from an ejection port 36 onto the stack trays 18a, 18b positioned at a lower part of the ejection port 36. The lowermost stack tray 18b is lowered to a predetermined standby position, and the upper stack tray 18a is lowered to a position near the lowermost stack tray 18b to narrow an interval between the lowermost stack tray 18b and the upper stack tray 18a, in ejecting the sheets P.
