<p>The electric toaster can be operated both automatically and manually. The handle can also be used to raise the slices of bread being toasted so that it can be picked out by hand. The toaster has two resistance-heating elements spaced opposite each other. The bread is supported on bars perpendicular to the heating element. The support bars can be manually adjusted by a lever. The support (5) for the bread consists of two rod-shaped elements (6,7). The lower element is linked to the positioning and automatic throw-out mechanisms. The upper element runs along guide rods. It is supported by the gravity of the lower element.</p> |
