APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING ORGANIC HALOGENATED SUBSTANCES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection apparatus for organic halogenated substances such as PCB, dioxins in a treatment installation or the environment. SOLUTION: The detection apparatus is provided with a solvent absorption means 14 wherein an introduction tube 13 which introduces a sampling gas 11 and whose tip is inserted into an organic solvent 12 is provided and the organic halogenated substances in the sampling gas is shifted to the organic solvent 12, a liquid-liquid extraction means 15 by which the organic halogenated substances in the organic solvent is shifted to a polar solvent, a solid-phase extractor 16 which concentrates and purifies the organic halogenated substances shifted to the polar solvent by the means 15 and a detection means 18 which quantitatively determines an extract 17 extracted by the extractor 16 and by which the organic halogenated substances are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.
