PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bridge capable of securing high aseismatic strength without largely reinforcing a foundation structure and to provide an aseismatic strength reinforcing method for the bridge. SOLUTION: The bridge and the aseismatic strength reinforcing method, which use column members, arch ribs 14 and 14, and history type braces 17 receiving tensile and compressive alternating axial force and serving as diagonal members diagonally inserted between vertical members and horizontal members 16 and 16, are employed.
