PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a positive extinguishing of fire even if the fire ignition occurs in a heating chamber and prevent smoke from leaking out of the heating chamber. SOLUTION: This cooking unit is constituted such that the same is comprised of a heating chamber 7, a discharging cylinder 5, a shielding layer 21, a control means 22 and an opening or closing mechanism 23, wherein the shielding layer 21 is made of magnetic metallic material having a Curie point set to a temperature of waste heat at the time of occurrence of fire, its magnetic characteristic is lost when the temperature of waste heat exceeds the Curie point, and the shielding door 21 having the opening or closing mechanism 23 shields a discharging passage by the control means 22. With such a constitution as above, it is possible to stop supplying of oxygen flowed from the discharging port, perform a positive extinguishing of fire even if a user is not present at the site and at the same time to restrict the smoke from leaking out of the heating chamber.
