PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking unit capable of eliminating any shock accompanying an opening or closing of a door at the cooking unit and attaining high quality as well as a superior handleability. SOLUTION: The cooking unit 1 is comprised of a door 4, a hinge 6 and a damper 10. The damper 10 operated in response to an opening or closing operation of the door 4 is installed at the hinge 6 of the door 4 so as to eliminate any shock of the door 4 against the cooking unit 1.
