PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor which generates no chips easily, has a superior flexural strength and a superior durability of not generating gaps or cracks by repeatedly applied cold and hot cycles. SOLUTION: The oxygen sensor is comprised of a heater part constituted by burying a resistance heating unit between a cylindrical core material and an insulating layer winding around the core material, and a sensor part constituted of a solid electrolyte layer and electrodes. The sensor part wraps the heater part, and a space is set at least to a part of the interface between the heater part and the sensor part. The electrodes are set to the solid electrolyte layer facing at least the space and to the outside of the solid electrolyte layer. |
