PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the take-in and -out of a disk tray without deteriorating operability and reliably prevent the disk tray from carelessly sliding off a case main body when a case is carried. SOLUTION: A compact disk case is composed of a case main body 1 and a disk tray 3 inserted into the case main body 1 through a front open port 15 thereof in such a manner as to be freely taken in and out. A disk tray restriction means 47 and a disk tray locking means 49 are provided in the case main body 1. In the one-step operation of inserting the disk tray 3 into the case main body 1, the disk tray 3 is kept in a restricted state by the disk tray restriction means 47 and, in the two-step operation of further pressing the disk tray 3, it is released from the restricted state and is then pushed outward through the front open port 15 by an urging means 55. Further, a manually operating part 73 is provided to make ineffective the two-step operation of pressing the disk tray 3, thereby enabling the disk tray locking means 49 to be changed over between a locked state that the disk tray 3 is kept to be held in the restricted state and an unlocked state that it is released from the restricted state.
