PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to maintain good contact characteristics even when mis-alignment is generated between external circuit terminals and pads, and remove the generation of short in the neighboring pads even when the pads are disposed in two lines zigzag. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display includes a substrate(200), a pixel array formed in the shape of matrix in display areas(212) of the substrate, a plurality of first terminals(201) formed in non-display areas on the substrate, having contact areas(204a-206a), and applying electric signals to a plurality of column lines and row lines of the pixel array, and a plurality of first pads(204) formed on a protection film(203) with a larger area than the contact areas to overlap the respective first terminals, electrically connected to the first terminals via contact holes(203a-203c), and electrically connected to an external circuit in any other areas than the contact area. |
