IMAGE PICKUP SYSTEM, PROGRAM USED IN IMAGE DATA CONTROL, DISTORTION CORRECTING METHOD FOR PICKED UP IMAGE IN THE IMAGE PICKUP SYSTEM AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING THE PROCEDURE

PURPOSE: To provide an image pickup system capable of obtaining a center projected image focused on the whole surface of a hyperboloid mirror without limiting the lens position to a point for obtaining the center projected image. CONSTITUTION: This image pickup system has a reflecting mirror 1 (hyperboloid mirror) shaped like one sheet of the hyperboloid of two sheets, an image pickup part 2 having the center of lens disposed in an arbitrary position opposite to the hyperboloid mirror on the axis of rotation, and an image processing means 5 for converting the image pickup data to a perspective transformation image data. When distortion is caused in a perspective transformation image of a monitor 6, a signal is input from a console panel to change a distance F from the center of the lens to the image pickup surface of the photo detecting element used in coordinate transformation. Even if the lens is shifted from the position meeting the center projecting condition, it is converted to the center projected image by image processing, and the lens position is made remote from another focusing position of the hyperboloid mirror 1 to be focused on the whole surface.
