摘要 |
PURPOSE: Nucleic acid molecules encoding hyperactive mutant phytochromes and the use thereof are provided, thereby a genetically modified plant having improved growth property in canopy or shade can be developed. CONSTITUTION: The nucleic acid molecules encodes mutated phytochrome A(PHYA) having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 for Pfr-dependent phosphorylation and has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, wherein the mutated phytochrome A(PHYA) is prepared by substitution of a 598th serine amino acid by alanine. The mutated phytochrome A(PHYA) shows high sensitive biological activity in the reaction of higher plants against the far-red light. The other mutated phytochrome shows similar high sensitive biological activity to PHYA in the far-red spectrum region and under the canopy / shade condition, wherein the mutation of other phytochrome contains substitution mutation of 7th serine by alanine, substitution/deletion mutation of PAS-associated domain and spectrum mutation capable of absorbing far-red light effectively.
