PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material in an optical recording medium having excellent light resistance and preservation stability capable of being applied to a DVD-R disk system using a semiconductor laser having an oscillation wavelength in a short wavelength as compared with a conventional system. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium comprises a recording layer on a substrate. The medium further comprises an azo compound represented by formula (I), an azo metal chelate anionic compound containing a metal, a metal oxide or its salt, and at least one type of a pigment salt containing a styryl dye cationic compound represented by formula (II). |
