FINE PARTICLE, SPACER FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE FINE PARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain new fine particles which can be applied in a state of primary particle as a spacer for a liquid crystal display element without being affected by its application method and mutually agglomerating the fine particles since a surface having an extremely excellent fluidity is formed. SOLUTION: Base particles composed of a polymer are subjected to a low- temperature plasma treatment in an inorganic gas atmosphere. Then the base particles having an activated surface by the plasma treatment are subjected to a contact reaction with oxygen so that the activation point is deactivated to give the objective new fine particles.
