PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner device which suppresses the ill effects to picture quality by suppressing the irregularity of light quantity to the utmost and minimizing an electrical correction value. SOLUTION: This scanner device is provided with a line sensor 6 for reading an image of negative film F which is developed and, further, is provided with an optical path forming part 4 which is composed of a halogen lamp 3 for illuminating the negative film F therewith, a circular incident port through which the light from the halogen lamp 3 is made incident, a linear outgoing port through which the light is emitted toward the negative film F and an optical fiber group which forms the optical path between the incident port and the outgoing port. In addition, this scanner device is constituted in such a manner that a light diffusing sheet 42 is disposed in the optical path attaining from the halogen lamp 3 to the negative film F, preferably the light diffusing sheet 42 is disposed in the vicinity of the outgoing port and the light emitted from the outgoing port is diffused therethrough.
