PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a skin of an organism or an analogue be a measured object by improving sensitivity and a signal-to-noise ratio appreciably in optoacoustic measurement of the measured object with the use of an open cell. SOLUTION: The open optoacoustic cell 101 has an irradiation chamber 2 and a microphone housing chamber 3 in a housing 1; has an opening 4 faced with the measured object at one end of the irradiation chamber 2 on a bottom 1b of the housing 1, and a light guide 6 for irradiating light toward the opening 4 at the other end; mounts a microphone 8 in the microphone housing chamber 3 so that a microphone face 8a faces the microphone housing chamber 3; and interconnects the irradiation chamber 2 and the microphone housing chamber 3 via a communicating hole 9. The inside diameter of a section of the microphone housing chamber 3 parallel to the microphone face 8a is reduced toward the communicating hole 9 from the microphone face 8a.
