PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the water distributing area of an upper water tank through improvement of an outdoor air inlet part, and ensure an outdoor air amount per a unit area of a filler corresponding to a quantity of water sprayed on the filler at the water distributing area even by narrowing a region of water distributed filler, and stabilize and improve cooling capacity even at an unusable wet bulb temperature when water is sprayed on all fillers. SOLUTION: The outdoor air inlet 12 is divided into three regions in the width wise direction in correspondence to the divided water spray area of the upper water tank 10, and uptake amounts of the outside air inlets 16 and 17 in regions on both sides are adjustable. The outside air inlets 16 and 17 the uptake amounts of which are adjustable consists of a plurality of louver blades 18 situated at intervals, each louver blade 18 is rotatable around its longitudinal axis and the degree of opening and closing is adjustable.
