PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary kiln carbonization device which can automatically and stably move the contents of the rotary kiln from an inner cylinder to an outer cylinder in an oxygen-free state or in an ultra low oxygen content state to continuously and efficiently produce carbide. SOLUTION: In the rotary kiln having an outer cylinder 1 and a rotary supported inner cylinder 2, holes 4 are disposed in the middle of the inner passage of the inner cylinder, and a sealing housing 6 having an opening or closing portion 5 for covering the outer peripheral portions of the holes is mounted at the constant position of the outer peripheral portion of the inner cylinder in a rotary slipping suspended state. An arm 7 contacting with the opening or closing portion is disposed on the outer peripheral portion of the inner cylinder.
