PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonoriented silicon steel sheet for a rotary apparatus which has good magnetic properties in a high frequency-high magnetic flux density region, and is effective for the increase of the efficiency and output of a rotary apparatus. SOLUTION: The components of the steel are controlled to a composition containing, by mass, 0.0015 to 0.0050% C, 0.1 to 7.0% Si and 0.1 to 2.5% Mn. Further, in the measured values of its magnetic properties using an Epstein test piece, W15/1000(L+C), i.e., the average core loss in the L and C directions is controlled to <=120 W/kg, and (B100(L)/B100(C)), i.e., the ratio in magnetic flux density between the L direction and the C direction to <=1.05. Further, its sheet thickness is controlled to <=0.35 mm. |
