PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which the passage of a cooler is prevented from being contracted or choked by frosting the cooler uniformly. SOLUTION: In the refrigerator arranged such that chill sucked from the air inlet of a freezing compartment is cooled by a cooler and supplied from an air outlet, a cooler front plate for partitioning a cooling compartment into the cooler side and the baffle plate side is disposed in front of the cooler. The cooler front plate is provided with a lower opening facing the lower end part of the cooler, and an upper opening facing a front part above the lower end part of the cooler. Since a bypath for introducing chill from the lower opening to the upper opening is formed between the baffle plate and the cooler front plate, a plurality of passages for introducing chill to the cooler are ensured and entire surface of the cooler is frosted uniformly because chill approaches the cooler uniformly. Consequently, chill flow to the cooler is not disturbed nor stopped by local frost.
