PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color display element which is large in an aperture ratio and is bright and can be manufactured by a simple process. SOLUTION: At least >=2 kinds of different light emitting layers 12 are formed on respectively separate substrates 11 and sheets containing the individual substrates 11 having the respective light emitting layers 12 are laminated in a direction perpendicular to the light emitting surface, by which the color display element of the constitution capable of making color display of >=2 color is obtd.
