PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having a cold black tone as a silver tone, low fog and improved silver image preservability after development and to provide a method for producing the heat developable photosensitive material, an image recording method and an image forming method. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photosensitive material containing a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent for this organic silver salt, photosensitive silver halide and a binder on the base, an infrared sensitizing dye and azoles are contained in an azole to dye molar ratio of 10-100 and a compound of the formula MmXn, the formula Z11-SO2SM11 or formula (Y) is also contained.
