PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carton from which a stored article can be readily taken out. SOLUTION: In this carton in which a pair of large surface plates 1 and a pair of small surface plates 2 are connected to form a surrounding wall 4, and large end plates 5 and small end plates 6 extended from the large surface plates 1 and small surface plates 2, respectively, are bonded together to close end surfaces, a cover 12 is formed of a finger engaging portion 7 made by cutting and front cutting lines 8 from the finger engaging portion 7 to both sides on a large surface plate 1, side cutting lines 9 connected from the front cutting lines 8 to base ends of the small end plates 6 on the small surface plates 2, and hinge lines 10 connected from the side cutting lines 9 and running along joints of the large end plates 5 on the small end plates 6. The front cutting lines 8 and the side cutting lines 9 are cut by engaging the finger to the finger engaging portion 7 to open the cover 12 around the hinge lines 10, so the stored article can be readily taken out.
