<p>Measuring insert for a fluid volume flowmeter has a beaker shaped housing (26, 28) with an impeller (78) mounted on an axle (42) that is fixed in a bearing plate (26) that forms the bottom of the beaker housing. A second bearing plate forms a cover for the beaker. There is an inlet in the housing wall and an outlet (34) in the base. A by-pass (38) in the housing allows fluid to pass directly from the inlet to the outlet without being entrained by the impeller. The invention also relates to a corresponding measurement method.</p> |
