The swivel shackle is composed of two rotating parts, firmly bonded together, forming a connecting ring for a trailer. The first part is a housing body (10) with a shaped connection ring. The cylindrical housing chamber (13) has a recess (14) at the peripheral side to take the rotating bearing of the second part. The second part is a two-piece unit, with a clip (30) which forms the connection ring when assembled, and a body (20) projecting from the housing chamber. When assembled, the clip and the body rotate in the housing and are held in place.
