PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method wherein a desired coloring can be obtained by an easy temperature control, the image is rewritable, and full colors can be displayed. SOLUTION: For this image forming method, images are formed by applying a heat-treatment to a recording layer which contains a liquid crystal indicating a cholesteric liquid crystal phase. First, the liquid crystal is set under a crystal phase state. Then, a developed image or a latent image is formed by heating the liquid crystal to a temperature by which the cholesteric liquid crystal phase or an isotropic phase is indicated. Then, one section or the whole region of a recording medium containing at least one section of the region wherein the image has been formed is heated, and at least one section of the image is discolored or colored. |
