PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for power measurement compensating data dependency due to linear modulation. SOLUTION: The method has a first measurement (160) for measuring a transmission output power and a second measurement (160) for measuring a reflection power and the second measurement is performed with time sharing and multiplex of the first measurement. Then, a first average power is calculated based on the data transmitted during the first measurement period and a second average power is calculated based on the data transmitted during the second measurement period (171). Based on the difference between the first average power and the second average power, at least one of the first and the second measurements is compensated (171).
