<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the flexibility of controlling the amounts of torque and secondary air of an internal combustion engine in a technology for supplying the secondary air to an exhaust emission control catalyst disposed in the exhaust passage of the engine. SOLUTION: The objective control device for an electromagnetically driven valve is provided with an exhaust emission control catalyst disposed in the exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, an electromagnetically driving valve mechanism for driving at least one of the intake and exhaust valves to open or close by using an electromagnetic force, and a valve mechanism control means for controlling the above valve mechanism when supplying a secondary air to the exhaust emission control catalyst.</p> |
