<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dihalodiene in good yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the dihalodiene compound represented by general formula (4) and/or general formula (5) comprises reacting a halohydrin derivative represented by general formula (1) (wherein, X denotes a halogen; R denotes a protecting group of hydroxy group; and the wavy line denotes either one of E/Z geometrical isomer or a mixture thereof) and/or a halohydrin derivative represented by general formula (2) with a titanium tetrahalide represented by general formula (3) TiX'4 (3) (wherein, X' denotes a halogen) in the presence of an amine catalyst.</p> |
