摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow measuring instrument with a relatively simple structure having a small pressure loss, having high mounting flexibility, and little affected by the upstream side of a flow sensor. SOLUTION: A flowmeter is equipped with the flow sensor 4 mounted on an inner wall surface of a pipe line 2 through which a gas flows and having a measurement surface projecting into the pipe line 2, and sheets of a prescribed length disposed parallel to the wall surface of the pipe line 2 on which the flow sensor 4 is disposed. The velocity of flow on the wall surface is measured by the flow sensor 4 to find the rate of flow through the pipe line 2. The inlet length L from the upstream-side end parts of the sheets to the measurement surface and the distance D between the wall surface where the flow sensor 4 is disposed and a sheet 20A are set up so that Reynolds number Re is larger than 2000 relative to the measured maximum flow.</p>
