PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration output even when a compressor is tuned OFF. SOLUTION: In this air conditioner where a coolant flows through a heat exchanger 1 and the coolant circulates in the refrigerated cycle, a second internal refrigerated cycle exists when a first refrigerated cycle stops in the heat exchanger 1. A second internal cycle is arranged in a heat transfer pipe, tray or refrigerant pipe conduit 2. The second internal cycle is driven by gravity and/or capillary force. A means for increasing the thermal conductivity is set in a range of a cooling storage medium, and the means is, in particular, a fin bundle arranged among the pipe conduit and/or a porous material with high thermal conductivity impregnated with the cooling storage medium. A cooling storage container or range storing the cooling storage medium is desirably arranged in the upper range of the heat exchanger, the heat exchanger as an evaporator is made to close the heat transfer pipe at the lower side and the liquid coolant dropping from the upper region of the evaporator cannot escape from evaporator.
