PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make soybeans possible certainly to be bitten into the interval between electrode rolls in a moisture measuring instrument for soybeans. SOLUTION: The roll interval (w) between the opposed regions of a pair of the electrode rolls 1 and 1 of the moisture measuring instrument for the soybean is set to a narrow interval where the moisture value of the soybean is accurately measured. A press plate 7, which is raised and lowered with respect to the space formed into a funnel shape above the opposed regions by the upper half roll peripheral surfaces 10 and 10 of the electrode rolls 1 and 1, is arranged above a pair of the electrode rolls 1 and 1, and a lift mechanism 8 operating he press plate 7 so as to raise and lower the same is provided in connection with the press plate 7. The soybean sampled into the space is pressed to the roll peripheral surfaces 10 and 10 of the electrode rolls 1 and 1 by the falling operation of the press plate 7 due to the lift mechanism to be roughly crushed to be allowed to intrude into the narrow interval (w).
