PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage of an elevator capable of easily absorbing the manufacturing error and assembly of a side plate and improving the attractiveness of decorated plates stuck on the cage on the side facing the interior thereof. SOLUTION: This cage 20 of the elevator comprises the car floor 11 of the elevator and a plurality of side plates 12a and 12b vertically installed along the peripheral edges of the car floor 11. One side plate 12a of two side plates 12a and 12b positioned in the directions perpendicular to and adjacent to each other comprises a first connection part 12a1 formed extendedly from a corner part and the other side plate 12b comprises a second connection part 12b1 opposed to the first connection part 12a1 formed by bending at a right angle. The first and second connection parts 12a1 and 12b1 are connected to each other through a connection member 23 of channel shape in cross section with bolts and nuts 5. The assembly error is absorbed by an interval adjusting spacer 7 or an elongated bolt through-hole. The decorated plate 16 is formed in a flat shape, and stuck on the flat surface part 23a of the connection member 23 to prevent the connection member from being deformed.
