PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a coreless coil preventing winding irregularity and kink of wire from occurring during use of the coreless coil and enhancing productivity of wire processing. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the coreless coil wherein the coreless coil is obtained by winding wire A in coils around a tapered winding body 11a, while making the wire A relatively traversing reciprocatingly between a first traverse turning position B, a larger-outside-diameter circular plane of the tapered winding body 11a of a spool 11, and a second traverse turning position C, a smaller-outside-diameter circular plane of the tapered winding body 11a to form a coil winding layer body 14 and by removing the spool 11, the coil winding layer body 14 is formed by gradually moving the second traverse turning position C in a direction separating from the first traverse turning position B as the winding layers of the wire A wound around the tapered layer body 11a of the spool 11 are progressively generated from an inner layer to an outer layer, and by winding the wire A in coils.
