PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform correction of rotation drive control for each bobbin holder independently when moving from a contactless winding process to a normal winding process in a thread winding device having multiple bobbin holders. SOLUTION: When carrying out contactless winding, wherein a contact roller CR is held to be not in contact with a bobbin B, or soft winding, wherein a contact roller CR is held with a low contact pressure, the rotation drive of the bobbin holder is generally expectedly controlled based on a formula. The formula is, in this invention, is corrected for each bobbin holder independently. Accordingly, optimum correction is provided for each bobbin holder even when there is difference in slip of the motor, and therefore high-accuracy correction can be realized and generation of defective threads can be prevented. By using a correction value obtained from the winding process of a first bobbin holder for the second contactless winding process or the soft winding process of a second bobbin holder, speed variation can be suppressed even when initial parameter setting values are somewhat inappropriate.
