PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an pneumatic transportation method and device for a granular and powdery material capable of surely detecting blocking up of a carriage route. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic transportation method for the granular and powdery material wherein the granular and powdery material is carried by an air current from an upper stream side to a lower stream side and blocking of the carriage route is detected, a microwave is radiated to the granular and powdery material to be carried by the air current and the carriage route is determined to be blocked up when a reflected wave from the granular and powdery material shows same frequency with the radiated microwave.
