PURPOSE:To form the picture pattern on a cylindrical container made of synthetic resin efficiently without applying a masking cover, by holding the cylindrical container made of thermoplastic synthetic resin between a heating roller on the outer surface of which the picture pattern is embossed and a holding roller, and rotating said container. CONSTITUTION:A device 3 employed is constituted by the silicon roller 4, a heating element 5, and the holding roller 6. An embossed pattern part 7 corresponding to a satin finish picture pattern 2 is formed on the surface of the roller 4. The surface of the pattern part 7 is of aventurine type. When the cylindrical container 1 which is molded from the transparent thermoplastic synthetic resin is held between the roller 4 and the roller 6 and rotated, only the pattern part 7 of the roller 4 is contacted with the cylindrical container 1. At this time, since the roller 4 is heated, the part of the cylindrical container 1 contacting the pattern part 7 is melted and formed into the aventurine picture pattern. Therefore, the satin finish picture pattern 2 is formed at a part of the transparent material of the container 1 which has passed through both rollers 4 and 6. |
