<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic heat exchanger structured of a header of a cluster of pipes and a heater tank thermally fusion-bonded by ultrasonic wave through the steps to manufacture the heat exchanger using in particular a plastic material, and to thermally fusion-bond and bind a cluster of finned pipes and the header, in a method for joining the header and the header tank of the heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The method for joining the header 120 of a cluster of finned pipes 118 of the plastic heat exchanger comprises a step for forming a cluster of the finned pipes 118 with plastic fins formed on the outer periphery of a coolant pipe made of a plastic material; a step for forming the header 120 made of a plastic material on both side ends of the cluster of the finned pipes 118 made of a plastic material using a double injection process; and a step for bringing a thermally fusion-bonding jig 136 into contact with the bottom face of the header 120 and thermally fusion-bonding the cluster of the finned pipes 118 and the header 120 in one piece, by pressurizing the upper end center of the cluster of the finned pipes 118 with the help of a thermal fusion-bonding machine 128 where a thermally fusion-bonding molding die 134 is formed.</p> |
