PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing easily and cheaply splendid pearl/ metallic luster glass having appearance which expands possibility of glass expression and feeling not able to be expressed in conventional technique without being influenced by scale, shape or face condition of glass. SOLUTION: On the method for producing the glass product using a mold, a luster film 5a having pearl/metallic luster is formed on the surface of a glass product 7 using the mold 4 after the inner face of the mold 4 is coated by a coating liquid material obtained by dispersing a pigment containing mica particles into a solvent. Micaceous titanium particles can be used as the mica particles and the particle size can be 0.1-50μm. An aqueous solution of an acryl resin emulsion can be used as the solvent.
