PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the pressure on the limit time which is the factor to hinder adequate ability evaluation in an adaptation type test for evaluating the ability of an answerer. SOLUTION: The limit time for respective questions is fixed in an ordinary adaptation type test but this method is arranged to be made usable by adding the difference between the limit time and the time required for the answer to the limit time to be set at the question next to this question when the time required for the answerer in answering the question is shorter than the limit time of this question. As a result, if the answerer is able to solve, for example, the simple question, the answerer is able to divert the surplus time to the difficult question. The prescribed time is added to the limit time set at the first question and whether the difference between the limit time and the time required for answering attains the prescribed time or not is judged. If the prescribed time is attained, the time is regulated by subtracting the prescribed time from the difference between the limit time and the time required for answering attains the prescribed time. As a result, the answerer is able to handle the questions from the first with an allowance in the time.
